Former Taft High School quarterback and cornerback Monsanna Torbert decommitted from the Indiana Hoosiers on May 18, according to Rivals.com and 247Sports.
Torbert, a junior who transferred from Taft to Princeton in December, committed to Indiana in January.
Torbert is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports, and is ranked as the No. 7 player in Ohio for his class.
He led Taft to an 11-1 record in 2025 after winning a regional championship with the Senators in 2024. He threw for over 3,600 yards and 50 touchdowns while also running for over 1,000 more yards on the ground. Torbert was first-team All-Ohio for the Senators and will have top target Lorenzo McMullen with him at Princeton after the sophomore announced in April he would also be transferring.
Standing out as a quarterback at Taft, Torbert is a two-way player who projects as a cornerback at the next level. Since committing to Indiana, Torbert has been a hot name on the recruiting trail, getting offers from programs like Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas and other Power Four programs.
