Scouting Report
Wallace was a playmaker on both sides of the ball last season in Iowa City. As a linebacker, he racked up 49.5 total tackles, 18 tacklers for loss, 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. On offense, he hauled in 40 receptions for 611 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a tight end. Wallace is likely to end up as an outside linebacker with the potential to be more of an edge rusher. He is a powerful, hard-charging force off the edge, with the ability to take on blocks and create pressure with his effort. Wallace may not have the size of Jack Gibbens or Matt Kingsbury, but he has the motor and physicality that his position coach, Mariano Sori-Marin, excelled with as a player. He has an intriguing profile that could make him a versatile defender in Danny Collins’ defense.
