From Germany: Roma in pole to land Oosterwolde

Roma’s transfer market is already in full swing, especially after qualifying for the Champions League seven years after last competing.

The Giallorossi’s transfer window is only awaiting the arrival of Tony D’Amico, who will replace Massara, who was parted company just yesterday.

One of the first names the new sporting director could focus on is Fenerbahçe defender Jayden Oosterwolde.

A Dutch defender born in 2001, who can also play on the left flank, he is a lynchpin of the Turkish club’s defense, as evidenced by his statistics from last season: 47 appearances, including a starter, across the league and cup competitions. He is a key player for Fenerbahçe, which is why his value is also quite high.

As reported in Germany by news portal Fussball Daten, Roma will need an offer between €30 and €35 million to land Oosterwolde.

A significant valuation for a player who has already tasted Italian football during his time with Parma. He will spend a year in Emilia, from January 2022 to January 2023, before being sold to Turkey for €7 million.

According to initial reports, Roma have already submitted an initial offer of around €20 million, leading the competition.

Looking at the statistics, one figure stands out: in 47 matches played this season, he has received 18 yellow cards across all competitions.

He is being eyed by numerous clubs across Europe: Leipzig and Schalke 04 in Germany, Porto and Benfica in Portugal, Lyon in France, and Everton in England.
