Starting up front in Kai Havertz’s absence, Deniz Undav made the most of his opportunity. After spurning a couple of early chances, the Stuttgart forward opened the scoring and later set up Florian Wirtz for Germany’s second goal with relentless pressing high up the pitch, before adding a second after being teed up by Lennart Karl. Unfortunately, the 29-year-old picked up a knock while scoring and was forced off shortly afterwards. Hopefully for Undav and Germany, it’s nothing serious with the World Cup just around the corner.
