Hansi Flick has warned his players that the whole club will have to “work harder” next season after signing a new contract with Barcelona.
The German coach has penned a contract extension until 2028, with the option for another year.
Flick has already won five titles since taking charge of the club but says there will be no let up next season.
“[The new contract] a big commitment for us to work harder, harder than this season, to try and reach the best level with the team and to win titles,” he said.
“This is normal for Barcelona and I know everyone has this amazing dream to win the Champions League. We tried. We try it again.”
Flick also reiterated just how much he loves being part of the Barcelona family and his desire to bring more titles back to the Camp Nou.
“From 2028 onwards… this club is amazing, I feel it’s special. The staff, the players… it’s incredible,” he added.
“We’ve shared many fantastic moments and I’m excited to share more. We want to win more titles. In recent weeks, we’ve played very well, we’ve been consistent.”
Barcelona wrap up their season at the weekend at Mestalla. Flick will then enjoy some well-deserved time off before returning for pre-season in the middle of July.
