Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images Last weekend at Charlotte, NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain drove the JR Motorsports No. 9 car to victory lane in the Charbroil 300. Jesse Love, Austin Hill, William Sawalich, and Corey Day rounded out the top five. Love earned 49 points on the day, while points leader Justin Allgaier finished 29th, earning just 17 points. That allowed Love to close the gap a bit on the points lead, though he still sits over 100 points behind Allgaier, who has 10 top-five finishes already this season. In last year’s visit to Nashville, Allgaier led 101 of the 188 laps on his way to the victory. Connor Zilisch was second, followed by Sam Mayer and Sheldon Creed.
