Indy 500 milk choices: What will drivers drink at Victory Lane?

Ah, milk. The drink synonymous with cereal and … one of the greatest spectacles in motorsports.

The Indy 500 is back this afternoon, and as part of a time-honored tradition, the winner will be delivered a bottle of milk at Victory Lane. The iconic celebration began when Louis Meyer requested ice-cold buttermilk after taking the checkered flag in 1938.

Now, each year drivers are asked to provide their milk preferences should they be fortunate enough to win the Indy 500. Historically, whole milk has been the most popular, followed by 2%, and that’s proved to be the case this year.

Romain Grosjean, meanwhile, is on a skim milk island of his own. The driver of the No. 18 Honda was the lone driver to pick skim this year after none did the year prior.

Here’s a look at the full list of milk choices, sorted alphabetically.
