- 192 – Piyush Chawla (7.96)
- 187 – Ravichandran Ashwin (7.20)
- 186 – Jasprit Bumrah (7.32)
- 183 – Dwayne Bravo (8.38)
The milestone came during Kolkata Knight Riders’ clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where Narine struck twice in a crucial spell to derail the opposition.
Earlier, Travis Head played a blazing knock of 61 off just 28 balls, giving SRH a flying start. Alongside Ishan Kishan (42 off 29), he powered the hosts to 105/1 in the ninth over after a dominant powerplay.
However, KKR’s spin duo turned the game on its head. Varun Chakravarthy, despite an expensive start, broke the momentum by dismissing Head, triggering a collapse. A sharp catch by Rovman Powell removed Heinrich Klaasen cheaply, and wickets began to tumble rapidly.
Narine then delivered the decisive blow, picking up two wickets in a single over to complete his 200-wicket milestone. His spell, combined with Chakravarthy’s 3/36, meant the pair finished with 5/67 between them.
From a commanding position, SRH lost their way completely, folding for 165 in 19 overs. It was a clinical comeback from KKR, who will be the happier side after a dominant display with the ball.
