Tennis fans are thrilled to see Amanda Anisimova on the Roland Garros practice courts. It has been months since Anisimova played while recuperating from a wrist injury.
One thing that stood out in the photos from the French Open is that Anismova is not wearing any Nike clothing with the exception of Nike footwear.
Anisimova signed a long term deal with Nike approximately eight years ago. The term and dollar value were never officially released, but it was believed to parallel Maria Sharapova’s deal which was eight years and $100 million dollars.

Could it just be the one day Anisimova is not sporting Nike?
Two weeks ago in Rome before withdrawing, she was wearing Nike practice clothing.
It is just unusual, and perhaps just a one off situation, for her to not to sport Nike merch whenever she is holding a tennis racquet.
Eagle-eyed fans will be watching this situation as Anismova practices this week and prepares for Roland Garros main draw action to begin on May 24. It is unclear how Anisimova will do as she has not played any clay court warmup tournaments this spring.
