Hamzah Sheeraz spent some time talking to Ring Magazine and after touching base on a but of recent events around the sport, Sheeraz was asked about whether he’d entertain the idea of a rematch with Carlos Adames, whom he drew with back in 2025.
So when asked about his future plans at super middleweight and then Adames specifically, here’s what Sheeraz had to say.
“We’re at that level now where it’s about getting the biggest fights and getting as many as the titles as I can, and I truly believe I can become undisputed at 168,” Sheeraz said. “Because I don’t speak about it much, and because I don’t entertain these Twitter conversations people think ‘oh, he’s closed to the idea of having that [rematch with Adames] but once that gets presented to me, we’ll go.
“It’ll be similar to like the Berlanga fight, you know what I mean, where I shut up all the critics and be like ‘now what? What’s next?”
Sheeraz most recently stopped Alem Begic on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven.
