Jabari Walker describes his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers ultimately came up short of their goal of winning their first title since 1983, but they were able to see some unsung players make their presence known and make an impact on the roster.

One of those players is Jabari Walker who the Sixers signed to a two-way deal in the 2025 offseason. Walker made his presence felt as he was a guy who coach Nick Nurse would turn to as a starter when the Sixers needed somebody. He played well enough to earn himself a standard deal as somebody who can grab a bunch of rebounds, play physical defense, and can space the floor for this group.

All in all, Walker averaged 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 33.7% from deep in 64 games with six starts for the Sixers. It was a season he will look back on as a success as he moves forward in his career.

“I think it was very successful,” said Walker. “I accomplished a lot of what I wanted to. I think I learned a lot as well. The first time I made the playoffs and see what it takes to be on a winning team. I think I’m grateful just to be part of something like that and have a chance to experience it. It’s a different mindset going forward with my workouts and what I need to improve on and things like that. So, a lot to work on, a lot to improve on, but overall, I’m grateful.”

Walker and the Sixers will look to move forward in the 2026 offseason and build off what was, all in all, a bounce back season for this group.
