Jared McCain addresses trade from Philadelphia after monster Game 3

Jared McCain delivered the goods for the Oklahoma City Thunder once again Friday night, helping his new team earn a 2-1 series win. McCain scored 24 points off the bench on 10-for-21 shooting to go along with four rebounds and one assist.

Following the game, McCain addressed former 76ers general manager Daryl Morey and his midseason move from Philadelphia to Oklahoma City.

“It’s never to prove anybody wrong,” he said. “I try to keep a positive outlook. I like proving my support system right. Daryl’s still the guy that drafted me, so I’ll always have love for him for that.”

Although Philadelphia got a first-round pick out of the deal (No. 22 in the 2026 NBA Draft), McCain’s early returns with the Thunder prove that they should’ve demanded more.
