Former Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga got a chance to play postseason basketball this season with the Hawks after a trade-deadline move that sent him to Atlanta.
Following the move, the Hawks went on a tear during the second half of the season, going on an 11-game win streak and ultimately earning the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, their playoff run came to an end Thursday night, falling to the New York Knicks by 51 points in one of the worst playoff losses in NBA history.
After the game, Kuminga spoke about his new organization while praising his former Warriors teammates.
“I left a group of guys that were very good to me too, like the Warriors and my teammates,” said Kuminga. “So just going from there to here, I think everything was very smooth.”
As for his future in Atlanta, the Hawks have a club option for the 2026-27 season.
