Jordyn Tyson enters the New York/New Jersey Giants debate

The New York Giants hold the Nos. 5 and 10 overall selections in the 2026 NFL draft in Pittsburgh, and they can end up with any combination of the best dozen or so elite names in this year’s class.

The focus this week has been on the Giants taking Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, after attending his pro day and wining and dining him last week.

The question now is which one of their two picks will be spent on Tyson? He will likely be there at No. 5 but may not make it to No. 10.

This week, during the pre-draft interviews, Tyson was asked what his thoughts are on playing in New York and whether he had ever experienced New York City and playing under the bright lights.

“Isn’t it Jersey?” he asked.

He was told, technically, yes, but they’re all New York fans.

“It’d be amazing,” said Tyson. “I’ve never really been to the East Coast until I took these top 30 visits, but I kind of liked it. It was pretty cool.”

Tyson can not only be selected by the Giants, he could end up with the Jets, who also have two high picks on Thursday night (Nos. 2 and 16).

He was asked if he had any idea where he might end up.

“I have a gist,” he said.

So do a lot of others.
