Kansas high school baseball state tournament moves due to KU postseason

TOPEKA — The 2026 Kansas state high school baseball tournament will be changing locations.

The Class 4A, 3A and 2-1A state tournament will now be held at Tointon Family Stadium at Kansas State. 

The shift had to happen after the University of Kansas was announced as a host for regional play in the NCAA Tournament. The Jayhawks were named one of 16 teams to hold the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament in Lawrence. 

Games for the three smallest classes of the state tournament were originally set to play at Hoglund Ballpark.

  • Class 6A: Eck Stadium, Wichita State
  • Class 5A: Eck Stadium, Wichita State
  • Class 4A: Tointon Family Stadium, Kansas State
  • Class 3A: Tointon Family Stadium, Kansas State
  • Class 2-1A: Tointon Family Stadium, Kansas State
