The New York Knicks have been waiting for the Eastern Conference Finals for a while. They are waiting for the winner of the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons.

The rest of the league is well aware of how well the Knicks are playing, including the Minnesota Timberwolves. They just got eliminated by the San Antonio Spurs, and now, they will be watching the rest of the Playoffs, including their former franchise player, Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Timberwolves will be supporting Karl-Anthony Towns and the Knicks

Now that the Timberwolves have been eliminated, the players have a lot of time on their hands. For the past two years, they have gotten used to being one of the NBA Playoffs’ final four teams.

They are now exiting the postseason in the Western Conference Semifinals. It is a disappointing end, but the players are now in offseason mode, and that includes watching the rest of the Playoffs.

As one of the mainstays of the Timberwolves roster, Naz Reid was quite close with Karl-Anthony Towns. Now, Reid will be watching either from the sidelines or at home, and he will support his old teammate.

“I’m trying to get out there back home for sure, trying to see him play in person, you know, from a spectator aspect, that’s a brother for sure,” Reid said after the Timberwolves’ elimination in Game 6.

“I’ve known him long before, you know, NBA, so I mean, just trying to make sure you know, give the same love to him that he’s indicated to us, and so forth and so on, and obviously want to be there for him as much as I can be.”

Now that the Knicks are in the Eastern Conference Finals, they will remain must-see television. They are one of the strongest teams in the league, and the odds-on favorite to reach the NBA Finals.
