LAKEWOOD — It’s already day two at the Colorado state track & field championship meet.
The 2026 edition continues May 15 with more title action after over 30 state champs were crowned on the first day.
The middle day is shorter ahead of Championship Saturday’s all-day coronations, but there are still plenty of titles to go around.
It’s highlighted by a mid-day stretch of 800 meter races and 4×200/800 relays that roll from just after noon to 3 p.m.

- 8:20-8:40 a.m.: 4A boys/girls 3,200 meters
- 10:10-10:30 a.m.: 2A boys/girls 3,200
- 12:20-1:05 p.m.: 5A/4A/3A/2A boys/girls 800 meters
- 1:20 p.m.-2:05 p.m.: Boys/girls 4×200 relays (all classes)
- 2:30-2:50 p.m.: 1A boys/girls 4×800 relay

Revisit 5A discus title for Rocky’s Kaia Bennett
Kaia Bennett had her whole crew together for this one.
From fellow competitors to a childhood friend, an influential assistant coach to her own fortitude, Bennett felt the love.
The Rocky Mountain senior earned it, too, winning the Colorado Class 5A girls discus state title with a mark of 130 feet, 9 inches.
