Big changes are coming to Liverpool’s midfield this summer.
Head coach Arne Slot has been relying on the same cast of characters in midfield for the last couple of seasons. And it’s clear to see the Dutchman is now getting diminishing returns from some in the ranks.
Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister have been a long way beneath their Premier League title-winning form of 2024/25.
Factor in uncertain contract scenarios for Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones and you can see why midfield will become a priority area for Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes.
Liverpool linked with Lamine Camara
One player who now looks increasingly likely to move to Anfield this summer is Lamine Camara. The 22-year-old is coming off the back of a very good individual campaign with Monaco.
But the Senegal international may be sacrificed due to the Principality side failing to qualify for European competition. Liverpool have been reported as interested in the midfield dynamo.
The asking price has been set at only £40m according to a report in Football Insider – with Camara under contract with Monaco until 2029.
And now the Anfield side’s interest in Camara has been CONFIRMED by one of the top journalists associated with the club.
