Liverpool Jarrod Bowen Links Make a Comeback

Liverpool were last linked to Jarrod Bowen when Jürgen Klopp was still managing Liverpool Football Club. With the West Ham winger now 29 years old, it probably would have been safe to assume he wouldn’t be getting linked again with the Reds in 2026.

Bowen, after all, is a year older than Luis Diaz was when the laptops running the Reds decided the Colombian international was too old, sold him to Bayern Munich, and gave Cody Gakpo the improved deal that would have likely kept Diaz happy on Merseyside.

With Liverpool looking like they might be losing half their squad to departures this summer, though, apparently we’re getting a Bowen revival. Or maybe it’s just Bowen’s camp casting desperately about for a landing spot with West Ham likely to be relegated.

In addition to Liverpool, Bowen is being linked this week with Tottenham (assuming it’s them and not West Ham who survive in the end) and with Newcastle United (as a potential replacement for a likely Bayern Munich-bound Anthony Gordon) and also Everton.

When it comes to Liverpool, though, both The Mail and The Echo have floated the club’s supposed interest in Bowen, who has a contract that runs through 2030 and seemed content to see out his career with The Hammers before until relegation threatened.

However, while Bowen wouldn’t make for an exciting signing in 2026, for the right price and if he was being sourced as a depth option—potentially to replace a player like Federico Chiesa—and not a starting option to replace Mohamed Salah he could make sense.
