In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund full-back Daniel Svensson. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with Liverpool and Arsenal in the race to land the Swedish talent this off-season.
Svensson’s Impressive Form In German Football
Svensson has enjoyed an impressive campaign at the German club as he has put in a string of impressive displays on the left side of their backline. The 24-year-old has found the back of the net four times and earned two assists in 45 matches for Borussia Dortmund this season across all fronts.
The Swedish talent is currently among the most talented full-backs in the Bundesliga. Thus, Man United would do well to lure him to Old Trafford in this summer transfer window.
His current contract at the Signal Iduna Park will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Go For Svensson?
Svensson is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot.
The Swedish sensation is a good crosser of the ball and can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to snap him up later this year.
We can expect Svensson to bring more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He is more than capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.
At 24, Svensson’s best years are ahead of him, so Carrick would be wise to go for a player of his quality this summer. However, Man United have to be patient with his progress before they can get the best out of the player at the Theatre of Dreams.
