TCU men’s basketball continued rounding out its 2026-27 roster on Saturday, picking up a commitmen from Texas Tech transfer forward Luke Bamgboye. The 6-foot-11 sophomore started his career at VCU, where he played in 35 games and made 24 starts before moving on to Texas Tech. For the Red Raiders, Bamgboye made 21 appearances with 12 starts and averaged 4.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. Bamgboye is the third Division I transfer landed by the Horned Frogs, who’ve also signed Gavin Sykes (LBSU) and DJ Thomas (WVU).

As a freshman, Bamgboye was named to both the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team and the All-Rookie Team. Hailing from London, Bamgboye helped the Red Raiders to a 23-11 record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2025-26. The team advanced to the second round, falling to Alabama after topping Akron in the first round. The sophomore will join a TCU team that also reached the second round, losing to Duke after beating Ohio State. Bamgboye was a three-star high school prospect.
