The Coca-Cola 600NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway is under a weather delay for rain after 366 laps on May 24.
Daniel Suarez is the race leader. The scheduled race distance is 400 laps. The race would be made official since it is past halfway.
After a weekend filled with weather delays, canceled qualifying sessions and shortened races, the first half of the Coca-Cola 600 was complete without any weather concern on the radar.
But a storm formed to the south and west of the track, which is located northeast of uptown Charlotte.
Kyle Larson won the first stage of the race, while Denny Hamlin won the second stage. Christopher Bell won the third stage.
The race began with an emotional tribute in the memory of Kyle Busch, with Busch’s family in attendance at the track.
