NBA Draft expert Jonathan Givony recently joined “The Herd” to talk about top prospects in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft. And although many draft experts are projecting former Duke star Cameron Boozer to go No. 3 overall to the Memphis Grizzlies, Givony is adamant that Boozer may be far and away the best player in the 2026 class.
During his appearance, Givony expressed his high expectations for the former Naismith Player of the Year, saying, “If you talk to the analytics people in NBA front offices, who have a lot of influence these days, 100% of them have Cam Boozer at No. 1 at the top of their draft model.”
Givony further argued his case, saying, “Cam Boozer has been the best player in every setting he’s competed on since he was 14 years old.”
Lastly, Givony added a projection for Boozer’s rookie season.
“I think he’s going to be a 20-10 guy from day one, and he’s even going to make a run potentially at being an All-Star as a rookie,” Givony said.
While Givony’s prediction may be a tad heavy-handed considering a rookie hasn’t made an All-Star team since 2011 (Blake Griffin), Boozer’s stats, measurements and winning pedigree are giving NBA front offices a lot to think about as the draft approaches, now only three weeks away.
