On Wednesday, the start date of the first day of 2026 New Orleans Saints training camp was officially revealed. The Saints will begin training camp on Wednesday, July 29. This was first reported by Jeff Duncan of the Times Picayune on Monday, then confirmed by head coach Kellen Moore at Wednesday’s press conference. Duncan further specified his report by saying that Tuesday, July 28 will be the official reporting day for Saints players, with the first practice conducted on Wednesday, July 29.

The Saints are also expected to conduct joint practices against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, and Dallas Cowboys prior to their preseason games against each team. New Orleans will host the Jaguars on Saturday, Aug. 15, play at the Rams on Saturday, Aug. 22, and are at the Cowboys on Friday, Aug. 28.
All NFL rosters must be trimmed from a 90-player training camp roster to the 53-man active roster no later than Sunday, Aug. 30. The Saints will open their 2026 regular season on Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Detroit Lions. New Orleans will host their first game of 2026 in Week 3, on Sunday, Sept. 27 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
