NFL schedule: Arizona Cardinals shut out of international schedule

The NFL will release its full 2026 regular-season schedule on Thursday, but some games have already been announced. The league’s broadcast partners have revealed some of their premier matchups.

Thus far, none of the Arizona Cardinals‘ games have been revealed, although we know some of when they will not face certain opponents.

The league revealed all nine of the international games that will be played in 2026. The Cardinals will play in none of them.

2026 NFL international games

The Cardinals potentially could have played in the following games, based on the designated home teams:

  • Week 1 in Melbourne against the Rams
  • Week 3 in Rio de Janeiro against the Cowboys
  • Week 7 in Paris against the Saints
  • Week 11 in Mexico City against the 49ers

The Rams, Cowboys, Saints and 49ers are all part of their away schedule.

Why no international games?

Well, unfortunately, the Cardinals have little worldwide appeal right now. They no longer have a well known quarterback in Kyler Murray. They are not expected to be very good in 2026, and, as of right now, they are projected to have a young, intriguing quarterback playing.

They also have a solid stadium situation.

They have not played in an international game since 2022 in Mexico against the 49ers. Perhaps in 2027 they will be back on the international slate.
