A fourth NFL game to follow up a triple-header on Thanksgiving? Now we’re talking.
For the fourth straight season, the NFL will play a game on Black Friday. The league added the game to the schedule in 2023 to allow Amazon Prime Video rights to an additional game, since its usual “Thursday Night Football” broadcast rights don’t apply on Thanksgiving.
So, following the three-piece of Turkey Day games, the league schedules a fourth standalone game ahead of the normal Sunday slate.
Last year, the Chicago Bears took down the Philadelphia Eagles on the shopping “holiday” to move to 9-3. This year, the Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Denver Broncos on Black Friday. Both teams are coming off of playoff seasons in 2025 but looking to venture further into the postseason this year.
Here’s what to know.
NFL Black Friday game 2026
- Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos
- Time: 3 p.m. ET
- How to watch: Amazon Prime Video
Prime Video will broadcast this year’s Black Friday game between the Steelers and Broncos, but fans living in the local markets will be able to watch the game on network affiliate channels on cable.
Both the Steelers and Broncos made the playoffs in 2025 but suffered tough losses that kept them shy of a Super Bowl appearance. This Week 12 game between the two teams could play a significant part in determining the AFC playoff picture in 2026.
