The Green Bay Packers are apparently in the deep running for a talented pass rusher.
The latest trade rumors on Wednesday suggest that the Packers are in the hunt for Josh Sweat, who currently is a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
Reports indicate that Sweat is also being pursued heavily by the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Cowboys reportedly whiffed on their chase for Sweat:
Ollie Connolly, who was plugged in with Jonathan Greenard trade to Eagles, says Josh Sweat will be traded today.
It will either be to the Packers or Eagles.
Other reports indicate Cowboys showed interest but were turned away.#Eaglespic.twitter.com/awLq1Trbip

Sweat entered the league as a fourth-round draft pick by the Eagles in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Florida State.
He would then play his first seven NFL seasons in Philly, winning a Super Bowl ring in the process.
He totaled 43.0 sacks in 104 games with the Eagles, going from a non-factor as a rookie to a consistently productive player off the edge.
Sweat joined the Arizona Cardinals for the 2025 season and reached another level, notching a career-high 12 sacks while also forcing four fumbles.
The Packers are a contending team, while Arizona isn’t expected to be one this season. That makes this deal very possible, if Green Bay can beat out Philadelphia.
