Ricard Opens Up on Emotional Exit From Baltimore

Patrick Ricard didn’t sugarcoat how difficult it was to leave Baltimore after nine seasons.

Speaking during an appearance on Jordan Schultz’s podcast, Ricard opened up about the moment it truly hit him that his time with the Ravens was over.

“After I signed, I went back home to Massachusetts… and I remember it was one pointwhere I was just thinking about it and I’m not going to lie. Like I actually started crying. Istarted crying and just thinking like, ‘Wow, like I’m never… I’m not going back to Baltimore.Like it’s like that part of my career, that part of my life is over.’ And I think once I finally likewent to OTAs on the first day… I think that’s when it finally hit me like, okay, now I’m here.”

It’s a reminder of just how much Baltimore meant to Ricard, not just as a team, but as a chapter of his life.
