The New England Patriots have acquired A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles after months of speculation, and Milton Williams seemingly reacted to the deal before it became official.
Brown got the nickname “Swole Batman” while playing for the Eagles, where he was also teammates with Milton Williams. The Patriots announced the deal on X at 4:22 p.m. EST. However, Williams posted a GIF of Batman on his X account at 3:41 p.m.

Reports of a trade being discussed and being close had been circulating on Monday, as many insiders knew that the Eagles could deal Brown and spread his cap hit over the next two seasons after 4 p.m. EST on Monday. At 2:30 p.m. EST, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Patriots and Eagles were “on track” to get a deal done.
Well, they did, and Williams seems excited to play with Brown again. On Wednesday, Williams was asked about the Patriots potentially trading for Brown and spoke highly of him.
“You see the noise,” Williams said on Wednesday. “Shoot, helluva player. He can definitely help our team.”
“Great dude,” Williams added. “Monster on the field. Great in the locker room. Holding guys accountable. Holding himself accountable. Feel like everything you want in a player of his caliber.”
Brown will rejoin a few old friends on the Patriots. He was coached by Mike Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans and also played with Kevin Byard at the time. He spent time with Williams on the Eagles and the two won a Super Bowl together.
