With each passing day, it is looking like Robert Lewandowski will be on his way out of FC Barcelona at the end of the season.
The 37-year-old veteran superstar’s contract expires on 30 June, and reports coming out of Poland suggest that a decision over a departure is imminent.
Given the situation, there has been no shortage of interest in the striker, with clubs from Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the USA lining up to sign him.
More recently, the name of Portuguese giants FC Porto had also been touted as a possible destination for Lewandowski.
Porto president shuts down rumours
However, Porto president Andre Villas Boas has moved quickly to shut down the rumours about a possible move for the Barcelona forward in the summer.

Indeed, the former Chelsea manager confirmed that the newly-crowned Portuguese champions cannot afford an operation like the signing of Lewandowski, even though he will be available on a free transfer.
“As you can imagine, it’s financially impossible for us even to think about Lewandowski,” Villas Boas said in a recent media interaction, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Lewandowski Saudi Arabia-bound?
This comes amidst reports suggesting that Lewandowski could be headed to Saudi Arabia, where Al Hilal are understood to be offering him a bumper contract worth a whopping €90 million per season.
If he does agree to that deal, the 37-year-old superstar would stand to become one of the best-paid footballers in the world.
It remains to be seen where Lewandowski ends up at the end of the season, but the upcoming game against Real Betis could end up being his farewell at the Spotify Camp Nou.
