Florida State had been looking long and hard for a quarterback commitment in the 2027 class, but three-star prospect Logan Flaherty put that to an end when he committed two weeks ago. Currently, the Seminoles have eight commitments in the cycle.
FSU has a lot of work to do in terms of improving their 2027 haul, and Flaherty plans to get heavily involved. He was on campus last weekend for their Seminoles Showcase and will be back again for his official visit this weekend. Plus, he plans to be on campus again at the end of the month.
“ I want to handle the field on the recruiting side of things and, you know, build a class around me and, get things back to where Florida State football needs to be,” Flaherty told Noles247. “And I’m excited to take that quest and that mission to go do that.”
He hasn’t wasted any time finding players that he wants to join him in Tallahassee. When he was on campus last weekend, four-star running back Jayden Miles was also there, and Flaherty has already been messaging him about committing to Florida State. He’s also been in contact with the Seminoles’ top wide receiver target Sean Green, who will be in Tallahassee with him this weekend. He’s a blue-chip prospect also.
Flaherty will get a chance to persuade several prospects during his official visit this week. Three-star running Tai Phillips will be among the recruits on campus, as well as three-star running back Marquis Fennell and three-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough.
It’s clear that Flaherty is all the way locked in with FSU, and it’ll be interesting to see if his approach is able to land some other prospects.
