Manchester United’s pursuit of midfield reinforcements has taken several twists this summer, with a number of elite names linked with a move to Old Trafford.

According to Fabrice Hawkins on X, Aurelien Tchouameni has reached an agreement with Real Madrid over a new contract.
The update represents a major boost for the Spanish giants, who are keen to secure the long-term future of one of their most important midfielders following another impressive campaign.
Tchouameni has become a key figure at the Santiago Bernabeu since joining from AS Monaco in 2022.
He has established himself as one of Europe’s leading defensive midfielders.

Reports even said that Manchester United representatives travelled to Spain to discuss a potential Tchouameni transfer.
Instead, Carrick’s side have moved decisively elsewhere in the market by agreeing deals for Ederson and Andrey Santos as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.
Should Tchouameni now officially put pen to paper on fresh terms, it would effectively end any immediate speculation surrounding a move away from Madrid.
