The NFL Draft will come to an end today and we will get to see what this entire Miami Dolphins draft class looks like. Last night, the Dolphins added four new players to their roster.
With their second round selection, the team selected Texas Tech LB Jacob Rodriguez. He is a tackling machine, has a knack for causing turnovers, and is a team leader. The last time the Dolphins selected a Texas Tech LB, it went pretty well for them and Zach Thomas.
The third round saw the Dolphins bolster their wide receiver and tight end rooms. At wide receiver, the team selected Texas Tech WR Caleb Douglas and Louisville WR Chris Bell. Douglas is a big bodied receiver and that was sorely needed in this Dolphins receiver room. Bell may have been a first round selection if he hadn’t torn his ACL back in November. He is big and explosive and has the chance to develop into the Dolphins best receiver.
The Dolphins were lacking at having a blocking tight end on the roster, but solved that dilemma with the selection of Ohio State TE Will Kacmarek. He won’t wow you with his receiving abilities, but he will impress with his run blocking ability. He’s a great addition for a Dolphins team looking to dominate in the run game.
You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
