Liam Delap wants to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place under new manager Xabi Alonso according to reports.

The Blues signed Delap from Ipswich last summer in a deal worth £30m, but he really struggled in his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Delap managed just two goals in 42 appearances in all competitions, with just one of those in the league, and he failed to score a goal after January 7th.

The 23-year-old simply hasn’t performed to anywhere near the level expected or required, and there are doubts about his future at the club.
Delap has been linked with Newcastle, whilst Everton are also said to be interested, with a return to Ipswich not entirely ruled out.
Joao Pedro has made the number nine position his own, whilst there’s more competition arriving in the summer in Emmanuel Emegha.
Reportedly Nicolas Jackson could be part of the squad next season, leaving Delap facing a major battle to get minutes next season.
However,Football London have reported there are murmurings Delap wants to stay and fight for his place under Alonso.
The report adds Chelsea could be tempted to cut their losses this summer, with early evidence suggesting the step up from Ipswich was simply too big.
