The New England Patriots have been linked to A.J. Brown all offseason, and while many experts expect him to be a Patriot, nothing is confirmed yet.

Over the course of the last week, insiders have started to report that the Eagles and Patriots do not have an agreement in place, and that the Eagles will entertain more offers for the star receiver. It is pretty much a guarantee that Brown will be traded post-June 1, but where is unclear. The Patriots seem to be the favorite, but there is seemingly more doubt now than before.

However, Jason McCourty reported on Tuesday that Brown joining the Patriots is “almost a done deal.” This should be great news for Patriots fans patiently awaiting the arrival of Brown.

“All the people on the inside that they know continue to echo the same sentiment that it’s almost a done deal that he’s gonna be a New England Patriot,” McCourty said on “Up & Adams” on Tuesday.

For the majority of the offseason, the Patriots have been the main team linked to Brown. He grew up a Patriots fan and has hinted at a desire to play for the team in the past. He has a relationship with Mike Vrabel as well. Brown and the Patriots seem like a perfect match, and McCourty’s report makes it sound like Brown will get his wish.
