Barcelona still hold various economic rights and clauses tied to several former players they have sold in recent years.
In some cases, the club retains a percentage of a future transfer fee, while in others, there are buy-back clauses or rights of first refusal.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, here is the list of the 12 players over whom Barcelona still maintain some form of future financial interest.
Vitor Roque
Barcelona sold 80% of Vitor Roque’s rights to Palmeiras in 2025 for a fixed fee of €25.5 million plus up to €5 million in add-ons. They retained 20% of any future sale.
However, if Palmeiras sell him for less than €30 million, Barcelona would receive 10% of the transfer fee; if the amount exceeds €30 million, Barça’s share rises to 20%.
Ez Abde
Barcelona still hold rights over Ez Abde, although the structure changed after his sale to Real Betis in 2023. Barça now retain 20% of any future transfer fee.
Initially, they held 50%, but later transferred an additional 30% to Betis as part of subsequent negotiations linked to Vitor Roque. Betis currently own 80% of the player’s economic rights.
With Abde attracting plenty of interest, there is a good chance the Catalans could pocket some profit.
Jan Virgili

Following his move to Mallorca in 2025, Barcelona retained 50% of Jan Virgili’s economic rights. They also secured a right of first refusal and a potential buy-back option for future negotiations.
Mallorca purchased around half of his rights for approximately €3.5 million. Barça, though, are considering re-signing him to bolster the left flank.
Pablo Torre
Barcelona and Mallorca reached an agreement last summer for the transfer of Pablo Torre. Barça included both a buy-back clause and a percentage of any future capital gain from a subsequent sale of the midfielder.
Mika Faye
Although Barcelona no longer own Mika Faye’s sporting rights, they retained both a buy-back option and a 30% share of any future profit generated by his transfer. The Senegalese defender is currently on loan at Cremonese from Rennes.
Noah Darvich
Barcelona and VfB Stuttgart agreed a deal for Noah Darvich last summer. The Catalans retained an unspecified percentage of any future sale of the German midfielder, as well as matching rights should another club make an offer.
Sergino Dest
Last summer Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven finalised Sergino Dest’s permanent transfer. Barça received no transfer fee because the American defender only had one year left on his contract, but they removed his wages from the salary bill entirely.
The club also retained a small, unspecified percentage of any future transfer fee.
Sergi Dominguez

Barcelona sold defender Sergi Dominguez to Dinamo Zagreb in June 2025 for €1.2 million. They retained 20% of any future profit made from his sale.
The centre-back, who featured under Hansi Flick before departing, is already attracting offers worth around €11 million.
Trilli
Barcelona and Real Valladolid reached an agreement in July 2025 for the transfer of Trilli. The right-back left Barça Atlètic and signed with the lower league club until 2027.
Barça kept a percentage of any future transfer fee for the Galician defender, who is currently on loan at Cordoba.
Estanis Pedrola
Estanis Pedrola joined Sampdoria permanently in October 2023 for €3 million after meeting an appearance-related clause.
The former La Masia winger signed a deal until 2027, while Barcelona retained 50% of his future transfer rights.
Riqui Puig
Riqui Puig is currently enduring a difficult period after suffering a serious knee injury.
The midfielder tore the ACL in his left knee while playing for LA Galaxy at the end of 2024 and, after initially progressing in his recovery, suffered a setback that required a second reconstructive operation in January 2026.
Barcelona still retain 50% of any future transfer fee.
Eman Kospo
Eman Kospo, the Swiss centre-back developed at La Masia and a key figure in the Juvenil A treble-winning side during the 2024/25 season, joined Fiorentina in July 2025 for €400,000 plus add-ons.
Barcelona also secured 15% of any future transfer fee. He is currently playing in Serie A.
