Should the Boston Celtics sign LeBron James? Such a suggestion will undoubtedly rankle a certain, significant subset of the fan base given James’ history with the franchise over the course of his Hall of Fame career. As one of Boston’s greatest heels in the modern era of the league, even hinting at such a team-up is a sacrilege for many.
But if one removes the emotions from the equation, LeBron is indeed one of the better if not best looming free agents this offseason, and, assuming no cliff for his game to fall off of, could help the Celtics at a position of need behind star Boston forward Jayson Tatum. Is there a world where this move might actually make sense for the Celtics?
The folks behind the “NESN” YouTube channel put together a clip from their “Boston Has Entered the Chat” podcast taking a closer look, with guest Dan Greenberg weighing in as well. Check it out below!
