The NBA offseason is usually centered around top players around the association finding out where the next chapter of their careers are going to be spent, or what moves the various front offices have been cooking up.

But a quieter part of the offseason is centered around those same front offices, as members and executives move to different organizations. This has been the case for the Philadelphia 76ers, who cut ties with Daryl Morey in mid-May after their exit from the NBA playoffs.

While there has been plenty of speculation and reports about who will fill the all-important role in Philadelphia, some existing members of their current brass have caught the eye of other organizations.

The Mavericks have their eyes on Prosper Karangwa

According to Hoopshype’s Michael Scotto, the Sixers’ Prosper Karangwa is being looked at by the Dallas Mavericks.

“According to league sources, the Mavericks have expressed interest in adding Philadelphia’s Prosper Karangwa to their front office,” writes Scotto.

Karangwa is currently the vice president of player personnel at the Sixers, having served as the Delaware Blue Coats’ General Manager, overseeing their G-League-winning season in 2023.

Prior to his time in Philadelphia, the 48-year-old spent eight years with the Orlando Magic, serving as director of college scouting and a scout, according to Karangwa’s LinkedIn page.

The Mavericks’ interest in Karangwa comes as Masai Ujiri takes over Dallas’ front office and looks to fill in the various positions.
