The wait for a decision on the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues, as the Pittsburgh Steelers still have no idea whether the four-time NFL MVP will play in 2026.
The fact that we are now post-draft with no decision isn’t good, and the Steelers need to know Aaron’s intentions sooner rather than later.
We thought we would get an answer pre-draft, but we didn’t.
Now, Steelers owner Art Rooney II has given an update on when fans might expect a decision from Rodgers.
“Even though I thought it probably would have been concluded by now, I think we will come to a conclusion here in the next few weeks,” Rooney said on The Insiders.

Steelers forced to wait on Rodgers
I get the feeling that the main reason Pittsburgh has been forced to wait is that there is a real chance Rodgers returns, in my mind at least.
If Rodgers, in his heart of hearts, knew he was done playing football, we’d likely know by now, and the fact we haven’t might signal he’s coming back.
Of course, I could be wrong, and he might announce his retirement next week, but I get the sense there is more in the tank for the star quarterback.
It’s just taking a little longer than initially thought to come to such a big decision.
