This Week in Sports Trivia: May 7, 2026

The NBA playoffs are in full swing, and we’ve already seen our share of stunning developments.

Out West, the Minnesota Timberwolves knocked off the Denver Nuggets despite dealing with the frequent absences of hobbled superstar Anthony Edwards. In the East, the Orlando Magic pushed the top-seeded Detroit Pistons to the brink of elimination, blew that opportunity in an epic Game 6 collapse, then fired their coach after losing Game 7.

Meanwhile, the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder continue to roll merrily along, seemingly intent on winning every championship in the near future. Are they among the greatest teams ever? One opponent thinks so.

We’ll get more into that question in this week’s quiz, but we hope you’ve been reading about other sports, too, because we’re going to hit on a wide variety of topics. Give it a shot, and leave your score in the comments below. And keep things rolling by playing our daily Connections: Sports Edition, too.
