Bristol City have announced the news that three first team players will be leaving the club when their contracts expire next month.
The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
It has been reported that Harley Bennett, Jackie Burns and Tianna Tiesar are all moving on.
Defender Bennett joined Bristol City in summer 2024 after leaving Watford. The veteran brought a wealth of Barclays WSL2 experience with her to Ashton Gate. Bennett has gone on to make 40 appearances for The Robins in all competitions.
Goalkeeper Burns is in her second spell with Bristol City after re-joining the club in February. The 29-year-old has largely provided goalkeeping cover since returning to the South West.
Youngster Tiesar has come through the Bristol City academy system and has largely gained senior playing experience whilst out on loan.
After Bristol City’s released list was revealed, the club’s interim CEO Lowri Roberts said “We were pleased we were able to offer Harley her first pro contract in the summer of 2024 and she has made a great contribution over the last two seasons.
“Tianna, a product of our academy, has had a prolific season with her loan club Plymouth Argyle and we look forward to seeing her thrive and continue to develop with her next opportunity.
“It was great to welcome Jackie back to the club in January – her positive energy and warmth brought a great boost to the High Performance Centre during one of the wettest winters on record in the South West.
“All three know they will always have a warm welcome back at Ashton Gate and will always be part of the Bristol City Women family and journey.”
Bristol City ended the Barclays WSL2 season in fourth place in the league table.
