Tunisia already know they’re heading home after this game, so there’s every chance the players’ minds will be on a well-earned break.
The Dutch, on the other hand, will not be short of motivation and will need to keep up their momentum if they are to progress past an impressive Morocco side in the Round of 32.
Cody Gakpo and Brian Brobbey both have two goals apiece at this tournament and on current form, you wouldn’t bet against either adding to that when facing a Tunisia outfit that has conceded nine in two games.
This one may not be as much of a rout as people expect, though, given the Netherlands’ seven goals have come from a cumulative Expected Goals (xG) total of 3.4.
It suggests the Dutch finishing has been above average but probably won’t continue in the same vein. That said, Tunisia’s nine prior concessions and lack of motivation if they concede early could make for an unsavoury scoreline if heads drop.
