Premier League champions Arsenal already appear to be planning some major moves in the transfer market, with two big names potentially on their way out of the club.
Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli have both been linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium, despite playing 61 games between them as the Gunners ended their 22-year title drought.
Trossard played a particularly key part in Arsenal’s success this season, finishing with six Premier League goals and assists apiece.
But it seems the Belgian could be set for a new challenge this summer, along with fellow forward Martinelli – who found himself more of a bit-part player in 2025/26, though he did make it into Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for this summer’s World Cup.
What does Trossard’s future hold?
talkSPORT understands that two Premier League clubs have already enquired about Trossard, while there is interest from the Saudi Pro League in Martinelli.
It comes after former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit, who starred in the Gunners’ 1997/98 Premier League title triumph, urged his old club to offload three players in the upcoming transfer window.
“I think it’s easy to know what Arsenal are missing,” Petit told talkSPORT’s White and Jordan. “For me, it’s wingers.
“Before bringing [in] new players, they have to show some players the exit door too…”
Petit went on to name Martinelli among the trio he feels Arsenal should sell but stressed he “would keep” Trossard.
Trossard joined the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 and has gone on to make 174 appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side in all competitions, scoring 36 goals.
The 31-year-old has had a knack of coming up with decisive strikes, too, most recently the late winner against West Ham which put Arsenal on the brink of the title.
Martinelli, who turns 25 this month, endured a poor 2025/26 campaign by his standards, mustering only one Premier League goal – but he proved his worth elsewhere, notably notching six goals in the Gunners’ run to the Champions League final.

The 22-cap Brazilian signed from Sao Paulo club Ituano back in 2019 and has since scored 62 goals in 268 games for Arsenal.
Both players should still have value to Arteta next term, though it’s inevitable that tough calls will have to be made if the Gunners are to strengthen with the aim of retaining their Premier League crown.
And it may be that the north London club choose to cash in ahead of time with Trossard and Martinelli out of contract next summer, rather than run the risk of losing them on a free transfer.
Arsenal only stand to lose one player for free this off-season: goalkeeper Karl Hein, who will join Werder Bremen on a permanent basis having spent the last campaign on loan with the Bundesliga outfit.
Hein was one of five senior Gunners players who had loan spells away from the club in 2025/26.
Jakub Kiwior and Fabio Vieira were loaned to Porto and Hamburg respectively with options to buy, with Reiss Nelson heading to Brentford and Ethan Nwaneri spending the latter part of the season at Marseille.
