After a quick yet extensive search, the Minnesota Vikings have found their next general manager.
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday, May 30, that the team would hire Seattle Seahawks assistant general manager Nolan Teasley as its next front-office leader. Two days ago, the team completed their second round of interviews, and Teasley emerged as the favorite out of the five finalists.
Fast forward 48 hours, and Teasley is now set to lead the Vikings through what is going to be an interesting chapter in the franchise’s history.
He comes to Minnesota fresh off winning a Super Bowl alongside future Hall of Fame general manager John Schneider in Seattle. He had been in the assistant manager role since 2023. This came following five seasons as director of pro personnel, one season as assistant director of pro personnel, and three seasons as a pro personnel scout.
Pelissero also shared this fun anecdote, writing on social media, “After six years in a marketing job, Nolan Teasley wrote letters to all 32 teams in 2013 asking for an opportunity to get back into football. He got one interview with the Seahawks and GM John Schneider, who hired him as an intern.”
Teasley certainly has had a unique football life, and he hopes the next chapter is a long one in Minnesota.
