After another exciting week of the high school girls track and field season, it’s time to look back on the best performances.

Keira Hackett, North Arlington
The freshman won the 800 and 1,600 meter races at the NJIC National championship, setting a school record by more than 15 seconds in the latter event. She also ran a leg on the school record setting 4-x-400 relay that finished third.
Peyton Lowenstein, West Milford
The junior threw the javelin a state leading 139-5, breaking the Passaic County record of 139-1 set in 2002 by Tina Lindsay of eastside. She also took second in the shot and third in the discus at the Big North Independence meet.
Gina Minichiello, Hasbrouck Heights
The junior won the 200, 400 hurdles and long jump and finished second in the open 400 as the Aviators remained unbeaten in the NJIC with a 16th straight divisional title.
Zoey Orlando, IHA
The sophomore won the Big North United 100 and 200 titles last Wednesday at Demarest and then won the 100 at Track Night NYC at Icahn Stadium in a state leading 11.98. She was also fourth in the 200 in a North Jersey leading 25.01.
Schuyler Reed, Hawthorne
The sophomore helped lead the Bears to the NJIC Colonial title by winning the long jump and pole vault, taking second in the 100 and third in the 200.
Cortnie Smalls, Wayne Hills
The sophomore won the 400 hurdles and 800 and anchored the winning 4-x-400 relay to victory as the unbeaten Patriots edged Lakeland for the Big North Independence title.
