After another thrilling week of the high school girls track and field season, it’s time to look back on the best performances.

Afua Anyadike, Bergen Tech
The MIT-bound senior continued her domination of the throws when she won the shot put and discus at the North 1 Group 4 meet and did the same meet at a very strong Bergen Meet of Champions.
Jenna Monaco, Dumont
The Arkansas-bound pole vaulter won the pole vault and had a career best for second in the long jump at the North 1, Group 2 sectional and then broke the Bergen County record in the pole vault with a leap of 12-8 1/4 at BMOC.
Kaleah Montgomery, Hackensack
The sophomore is rapidly climbing up the ranks of all-time greats in both hurdle races. She won the 400 hurdles and was a close second in the 100 hurdles at the always difficult North 1, Group 4 sectional and then set a meet record of 13.64 seconds in the latter event at the Bergen Meet of Champions.
Zoey Orlando, IHA
Another super sophomore, she set a meet record of 11.84 seconds in winning the Bergen Meet of Champions, breaking a 24-year-old record and added the 200 title in a North Jersey leading 24.88. She’s the first girl to win both sprints in nine years.
Sandra Vitolo, Ramapo
Finally healthy, the Cornell-bound Vitolo had her best week of the season, taking second in the 100 hurdles and winning both the long jump and 400 hurdles at North 1 Group 3 and then setting a meet record in the 400 hurdles at the Bergen Meet of Champions.
