VOTE for HSS North Jersey Lacrosse Player of the Week for May 11-17

After another thrilling week of the high school lacrosse season, it’s time to look back on the best performances.

Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the HSS North Jersey Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Nick Blanchard, Old Tappan junior midfielder

Blanchard lifted the Golden Knights to three more wins last week and reached a personal milestone by hitting his 200th career point. He combined for 13 goals, six assists and 13 ground balls.

Luca Frisco, Ramapo sophomore goalie

Frisco turned in a dominant week with a .778 save percentage across three wins. He racked up 28 saves on 36 shots and held all three opponents under five goals.

David Gautier, River Dell freshman midfielder

Gautier continued a breakout year by scoring a hat trick in his team’s win over Paramus Catholic. He followed it up goal and two assists when River Dell upset Tenafly of the Jacobson Division.

Cayden Sellitto, Passaic Tech sophomore goalie

Sellitto pushed the Bulldogs back over .500 by earning a pair of wins over Bergen Tech and Paramus Catholic. He stopped 26 of 36 shots.

Liliana Betz, Immaculate Heart junior midfielder

The Stony Brook commit set a season high witih six goals to go with one assist in her team’s win over Montclair. She paced the offense again with four goals against Madison later in the week.

Addison DeWitt, Waldwick senior goalie

The Warriors excelled on the defensive side last week, allowing a total of three goals in wins over Bergen Tech and Mary Help of Christians. DeWitt was a huge reason with 22 saves on 25 shots.

Avery Moran, Emerson/Park Ridge freshman midfielder

Moran carried her team to three wins last week with 15 goals, five assists and nine ground balls. She added four forced turnovers for the American Blue co-champions.

Casey Willemin, Wayne Hills freshman midfielder

Willemin posted another strong week with four goals, six assists and eight draw controls to lift the Patriots past Holy Angels and Mount St. Dominic. She’s one of the top rookies in North Jersey with 65 points.
