Vote for the Hometeam Baseball Player of the Week, presented by the YMCA of Central Mass.

There were plenty of tremendous performances last week in the Central Mass. baseball season, and Tommy Cassell found some of the best of them for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Softball Player of the Week.

Congratulations to West Boylston’s Jameson Lapointe, for taking the top spot in last week’s poll, registering 10,020 votes to top Leicester’s Robert O’Neil (4,681 votes) and Auburn’s Bryce Everson (1,302 votes) for the honor.

These picks were selected from performances reported by area coaches to the Hometeam Scoreboard. Coaches or administrators are encouraged to report game results and highlights each night by calling the T&G sports desk at 508-793-9350 or emailing sports@telegram.com.

Adam Adams, Quabbin

Adams tossed 103 pitches and struck out eight while allowing one earned run on seven hits over seven innings to help the host Panthers beat Narragansett, 3-1. Adams also went 3 for 4 with a run to lead the offense for Quabbin.

Andrew Beauregard, Gardner

This senior struck out 11 over six innings, and went 3 for 4, as the visiting Wildcats won, 5-2, over Narragansett.

Jonah Beauregard, Bancroft

Beauregard went 3 for 5 with a home run and 5 RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to a 20-3 victory over Gann Academy.

Gabriel Castillo, Worcester Tech

Castillo collected 13 strikeouts while giving up one run on two hits over seven innings to lift the host Eagles to a 9-1 victory over Southbridge.

Sam Dalpe, Hopedale

Dalpe was 4 for 6 with three runs as the Blue Raiders whalloped Millis, 21-6.

Cam Fields, Millbury

Fields fired a no-hitter with five walks and five strikeouts in his team’s 5-0 victory over AMSA.

Jonah Gaboriault, Groton-Dunstable

Gaboriault went 3 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs as the Crusaders cruised to an 11-1 victory over Marlborough.

Josh Giancola, Nipmuc

Giancola fired a two-hitter and struck out six and was 2 for 3 with two runs to lead Nipmuc to a 12-2 win over cross-street rival BVT. Giancola then went 3 for 3 with a homer in a 13-0 win over Bartlett.

Austin Gibbons, St. Bernard’s

Gibbons tossed a two-hitter and fanned 13 while giving up one earned run as the visiting Bernardians scored 13 runs in the top of the seventh to down the Chargers, 15-2.

Jeff Guzman, Oxford

This senior allowed one hit and struck out 10 in six innings, and was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and three runs, as the Pirates ransacked Sutton, 9-0.

Bode Lee-Feinberg, Bromfield

This player singled, homered and drove in four runs as the host Trojans toppled Gardner, 11-10.

Cole McGovern, Nipmuc

McGovern struck out six in a six hit-shutout and added a single and a two-run double as the visiting Warriors won, 5-0, over Hopedale and then combined with two other pitchers for a three-hitter in Nipmuc’s 13-0 win over Bartlett.

Liam McGrath, Quaboag

McGrath recorded three hits and three RBIs while striking out 13 in six innings to boost the host Cougars to a 9-1 defeat of David Prouty.

Owen Michalowski, Shrewsbury

Michalowski fanned 10 in 6.1 innings while allowing five hits in a 1-0 win over Leominster after he went 3 for 4 with an RBI in a 6-2 victory over Shepherd Hill.

Avery Miller, Hopedale

Miller singled, doubled and drove in four runs while scoring four times to send the Blue Raiders to a 21-6 win over Millis.

Anthony Moura, Hudson

This senior struck out seven and didn’t allow an earned run in 10.1 innings pitched and also singled and doubled at the dish as the Hawks held on for a 2-1 win over Nashoba in 11 innings. Moura then mustered three hits, stolen a base and added an RBI in his team’s 14-6 victory over Bay Path.

Jake Notaro, Clinton

Notaro needed just 89 pitches (63 for strikes) to fire a two-hit shutout and fan 16 as the visiting Gaels garnered an 8-0 win over Littleton. Notaro also singled, doubled and drove in a run at the dish.

Robert O’Neil, Leicester

O’Neil threw a complete game six-hitter with seven strikeouts and had a single with two RBIs to help the Wolverines pick up a 12-2 win over Keefe Tech.

Angel Paulino, Shepherd Hill

Paulino struck out 10 and collected two RBIs and two runs as the Rams recorded an 8-3 win over Algonquin.

Carter Richards, Millbury

Richards went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs as the visiting Woolies secured a big 9-5 win over league rival Auburn.

Walter Rogers, Algonquin

Rogers recorded a complete game and ended it with a bases-loaded triple as the Titans defeated Wachusett, 11-1.

Luke Stevens, Tahanto

Stevens fanned 10 and gave up one earned run on seven hits over six innings, while also going 4 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs, to boost the host Stags to a 7-5 win over Bromfield.
