According to Shams Charania of ESPN, 22-time All-Star LeBron James will be deciding between six different teams in free agency after informing the Lakers he has no intention of returning to Los Angeles. Charania includes the Warriors in addition to the Cavaliers, Heat, Timberwolves, Nuggets and 76ers.
While Golden State and Cleveland have constantly been linked to James this summer, most of the other teams listed became possibilities after offseason blockbuster trades cemented their status as championship contenders (Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LaMelo Ball).
Charania has also previously reported that James is “not in a rush” to make a decision ahead of his 24th season.
