West Ottawa’s Will Nagelvoort is headed back to the state tournament.
The Panthers golfer shot a 74 at Tuesday’s Division 1 regional in at the Grand Traverse Resort’s Spruce Run Golf Club to finish second among individual qualifiers.
The top three teams qualify for state and the top three individuals not on those teams also qualify as individuals.
Traverse City West (295), Mona Shores (308) and Forest Hills Northern (310) were the team qualifiers.
West Ottawa finished 12th as a team. Brody Sayrath shot a 79, Rowan Gibbs shot an 89, Tritan Meiste fired a 91 and Jacob Crawford added a 92 for a team total of 333.
In Division 4, Saugatuck’s Grant Schrotenboer is headed to state.
Schrotenboer fired a 77 to finish first among individual qualifiers and third overall in the region.
Saugatuck just missed out on state finishing fifth with a 334.
Schoolcraft won the region with a 313, while Kalamazoo Christian (315) and Delton Kellogg (321) also qualified as teams.
Saugatuck’s Noah Conklin shot an 80, while Nick Mohr (83), Charlie Lanning (94) and Walt Bos (95) rounded out the scoring for the Trailblazers.
Holland, Holland Christian, Hamilton, Zeeland East and Zeeland West will compete in the Division 2 regionals on Wednesday, May 27.
